There is a paint kit that can redo Formica countertops. That can give you a new look at a budget price.
I love this idea! But Like contemporary funky surfaces! On this link, there should also be a you tube from SpreadStone. I am taking on a vertical project with sand spray paint! My sister passed away and her house was originally a SW feel. The counter is huge and circular. I'll start on a small area and see if I was having a senior moment or a great idea!
I just saw a video on YouTube https://youtu.be/Ikm9PwPXKP0 The woman uses 18" peel and stick floor tiles and you could just go right over the old counter top.
here is also something called Granite Self-Adhesive Decor Film at Home Depot, which is just a roll of vinyl with a sticky back and you just cut it to fit your counters.
There are also paints you can use that are specially formulated for that specific use and come in kits for about $50-$100 and this would probably produce the best result. Here is a link to one at Loews for $79.99
