How do I set up a workout place in my basement?
Don't want to go overboard but would like to set up an area with the basic necessaries for fitness in my basement, any ideas?

Hi Peter! We have a stationery bike and a weight set with a bench in our basement. I have use elastic bands for my shoulders and arms. I personally refrain from a treadmill because a few years ago I was using one at the gym, and someone left it on fast and I did not know it, and it started off and I fell off breaking my shoulder. So I don't get on one anymore. (Just a word of advice be sure it is safe!) Take a look at these sites for further information..... Happy Thanksgiving to you!

Hi
Deutter the room, especially of large furniture so you have room to move. Are you hoping to have a treadmill? Then get one in there preferably with a tv to make the time fly.
I like workout tapes and dvds. Don’t laugh but I found a vhs player and a DVD player and I stocked up on tapes and discs and pop them in and “take classes” in my basement guest room for free. You may want to do a more 2018 version of the same principle on a flatscreen with the current technology.
Figure out what you want from the space and go from there
Good Luck!
Also maybe some carpet tiles or area carpet on the floor. A small maybe 29” TV and dvd and boom box for music disc. I have my music on my phone and use ear phones. Good luck decorating your new home gym 🤗.
