Mulch Your Leaves Into the Lawn in the Fall - The Spruce

My husband mulches our leaves, and we have a lot, plus ones from a neighbor. We never have a layer you can see when he is done. If you have a visible layer of fine mulch, it could kill your grass after a few days. The mulching blades on our mower turns them into dust like particles. They settle down into the grass, not on top. I never see them.
Thank you
We mulch ours with the mower, but if it's too many we have a blower that reverses to suck up the leaves.
If you can still see the grass it should be ok. But remember if you can't see the grass, neither will the sunlight get through and it may kill the grass.
