There are diy kits you can purchase. These are designed for use on windows that you do not intend to open up for the duration of the winter.
CLEAR CAULK. Run a line around every seam of the windows. With your finger, rub over the caulk sealing in the cracks. You can also use cling wrap over the glass itself to keep it from drafting thru the glass. This should winterize your windows & you can do it with glass panels in doors too. Be careful when adding the cling wrap. Try to prevent bubbles. When done, you can't even tell the cling wrap is on the windows as you can see right thru them. Hope this helps.
