How can I paint window trim without sanding?
Is there any way to paint window trim without having to sand? Hoping for a magical solution as I have 25 windows and 12 doorways ~sigh

Hi Kathleen,
I found this video that may help you:

Good luck!
if you are not looking to repair the wood surface of scratches, etc., use a good deglosser ( JASCO) - 'liquid sander' to wipe down the simi/glossy surfaces, no rinsing required. will give good 'tooth' to the surface to allow new paint to adhere properly
If they have a semi or glossy surface don't skip the sanding because your paint will peel off and you will have a much worse mesh to deal with. You don't need to completely sand off all the paint, just lightly create scuffs of minute lines with a very fine sandpaper or furniture grade steel wool. Sand in the direction of the wood grain with quick light strokes, just enough to give the new paint something to adhere to. (Wipe off any residue with a damp cloth before painting.)
Hey Kathleen I got same! Actually more. Best magic solution I found is called: Spray 9. If you leave it on long enough and use enough it will either
A. take it down to the primer.
B. Melt the paint smooth to extents you only need to sand a few areas.
After that, Wash it off with something good like: Dawn dish detergent or Ivory Soap, and you are ready to paint.
