To keep patina do as Redcatcec says just rinse and dry really well. if you want it shinier use Soft Scrub and damp wash cloth rinse well then use Dawn to remove any residue from Soft Scrub dry thoroughly
Mr. Clean Magic Eraser
just wash it well -- don't use any 'chemical' cleaners -- dry thoroughly or leave wet -- may 'rust' a bit more ... or you can 'RUST' it by spraying with a solution of salt/vinegar -- will cut thru the finish and make it rusty -- if you go this route -- the solution has to stay wet on the surface for a day/two -- you can use old rags soaked in the the vinegar/salt.
Depending if you can't get it clean with Magic super eraser then get a 3M green scratch pad(do not get scared they won't scratch if you do not press hard) and Ajax. Get the surface wet sprinkle with Ajax and gently work with light pressure. Rinse and repeat. 3M scratch pads a couple bucks at Dollar General and then the Ajax for a dollar or so I use it on everything. DO NOT use COMET hate comet does not come clean as easily, does not rinse as easily and can stain white stuff green. Also cut your scratch pads in half as they will be easier to handle. If you want to control the area you are cleaning wet the scratch pad and then sprinkle the Ajax on it then rub it on the surface. If there is a Dollar Tree around they have all three Magic Eraser/pad and Ajax.
