How can I get ice off patio blocks?
I have a terrace that I built with them and all the deicer products that I’ve tried cause the blocks to become pitted.

Here is an article that might help - https://safepaw.com/new-ice-melt-for-concrete-pavers/
You learned a valuable lesson on aging bricks and concrete. It is a living if you got clients.
It is not the appearance you like however.
The larger the granule the bigger the pit you get. This is why on a New Sidewalk and any unpitted concrete you use Mortons Fine Salt as a Deicing solution Rather than Rock Salt. You yet get pits no matter what you use (as that is the true nature of deicing: altering the water ph so that the water no longer can freeze) but the pits are less visible to the naked eye because the pit will always be the size of the granule that dissolved the concrete.
On old concrete however, like mine, that intend to Tear out by next summer, yes, on that you can use even a Salt Boulder and not really care.
Hi there,
You could use Sand or Ash, anything to give a grip too.
