How do I clean a new stainless steel kitchen sink?

My contractor used my brand new ss sink to rinse off waterbased paint and left a residue What can I use to get it off and hiw do I maintain the sink long term? TIA

Use baking soda and a soft sponge, Barb.
Hi Barb, washing the sink thoroughly with hot soapy water, then add a little vegetable oil to a soft cloth and rub, rub, rub. It should help, then wash again with hot soapy water.
Baking soda and hydrogen peroxide with a Scrub Daddy sponge to remove. Alcohol to shine.
Being a big Diyer I do this all the time. I use 000 steelwool and scouring powder and just scrub it, works every time.
