Vicki, try some of these methods before you have to pay a plumber a ridiculous price. Good luck.

Buy a container of Thrift at your plumbing supply store. It's all you'll ever need.

    Hello,

Even though we have an auger, most commonly we find that our bathroom drains need to be physically fished out. Either using an unbent hanger as a refashioned hook or plastic barbed tool from the dollar store or more expensive plastic tool from big box hardware —->to explore the drain obstruction.

Fishing out the blockage with that in -our experience— to partially involve hair removal seems to most readily alleviate stoppage in our bathroom sinks and shower drains.

2 tablespoons baking soda and 1 cup white vinegar. Push baking soda into drain add vinegar. Allow mixture to do its job. After about 15 to 20 minutes run hot water. If it still doesn't drain repeat. A small plunger works well with this process as well. Since this is a natural remedy I do it once a month on all my drains including the tub. Good luck. Janice
