Mist with water, let dry and vacuum.
Also you can dob with a hot water towel, rake some with your fingers, let dry
Hi Lola,
My name is Linda and I would use a steamer to wet the area then fluff it up with a plastic rake (even a plastic fork would work, but it would take longer). Once it dries, then vacuum. The combination should get rid of the crushed pile of the rug. If necessary, repeat the process until it looks right. Wishing you the best.
Put an ice cube in the dent. Let it melt. Fluff it up with your fingers or a small hand brush and let it dry and then vacuum--repeat the process if needed. Let dry.
I use the ice cube method Gk described....remember the dent in the carpet means the pad is dented also. Slow melt of ice will work. While wet I take a fork and fluff up the dented carpet.
