Can I sanitize jeans by putting them in the freezer overnight?
I was told that, when trying to clean without washing a pair of jeans, they can be set inside the freezer for a night and they'll be sanitized. Is this for real?

No, freezing them will not kill bacteria. Here's an article on it:

I personally wouldn't consider this valid without verifiable evidence.
I doubt it.

It doesn't appear that this is true from the info I found. Sorry.
According to Stephen Craig Cary, a university of Delaware expert of frozen microbes, freezing will not always kill the bacteria, but rather put them in a dormant state until they come in contact with something warm.
Dear ladies and gentleman who kindly have sent such quick answers:thank you so much for them. Now I know better.
I'm not quite sure why you don't want to just wash them, but you can use ammonia in the laundry to disinfect without discoloring the fabric. I always turn my jeans inside out when washing them to prolong the color. I would line them dry also.
