We do this too! We use an antique tub filled with ice for soft drinks and water. Then we have an insulated carafe we keep topped up with coffee. :)
Designate a section of the table or countertop as your bar area. Glasses and cups can be placed near the drinks. A washable cloth can help soak up the mess.
If you have a small bookcase, you can use it. Cover the top with an insulated vinyl table cloth to protect it.
What type of furniture pieces do you have to work with?
If you don't have anything, consider a couple of crates. You can zip tie them together for ease.
