    Bona for laminate floors.

Use Acetone, the kind you get at Lowes, then wash with a damp mop vinegar and water solution. Or get some Bona or Zep.

Use a solution of baking soda, dish liquid and warm water. Be sure to damp mop most of the water away so it dries without smudges.

I would avoid the Acetone as: you really do not want Project #2 of Restoring a Finish do you? Well of course not. And as you are new to that, and Acetone nof diluted right is harsh, Probably among your best bets for dirt is? Diluted Tide or All, 'Gets out Ground in Dirt', either that or Ivory Liquid Soap. I would recommend Mr. Clean or Ajax Liquid but these reduce the Sheen Slightly, [hence why persons who spot clean a floor most always have spotted laminates]per use and you always gotta do the Whole Floor All the Time to maintain a Balance of the Sheen. May as well use Peanut butter or Mayonnaise to Spot Clean if you want to have a Residual Impact and Sheen Imbalance. This is an involved Spot Cleaning Job. You need to avoid anything Harsh. Due that matter of fact, you gotta select one option:

    A. Do it fast, with Dee's Suggestion and suffer reduced Sheen as s result that may or may not result a repeated necessity for Floor Wax and at that stage you may as well invest $2300 in J&J Stocks to get Free floor wax Dividends.

    B. Do it Medium to Lawrence Welk Done with Joy's Bubbly suggestion of: making Bubbles in playland with a result that your flooded floor smells like a douche when you are done and you gotta do it again with Ivory, Tide, Gain, Mr. Clean or All to make it smell less like a douche, and that results sheen loss more than C due to the vinegar. [This is why butcher blocks do not have a Sheen]

    C. Use William's Suggestion which is foremost the same Medium and Chemistry as : All or Tide you already have that I suggested as thd Swiftest alternative, or Mr. Clean, and this will result Sheen Loss that may or may not result a repeated necessity for Floor Wax.

    D. Spend $5, and buy Ivory Liquid Soap and 2 Buckets from Dollar Tree. Use Ivory Liquid and a 1/2 Capful of Bleach in Bucket #1 and keep a Rinse Bucket #2 Handy to get Grit off the Mop before you put it in Bucket #1. [Recommended]
