BAKING SODA & VINEGAR.
Hi, you can still use bleach in the detergent/bleach/fabric softener dispenser, and they make some really nice high quality detergents, I use tide pods in mine.
Yup, a downfall of HE washers. I am not a fan of bleach, it weakens the fibers and can turn fabric "gray" or "yellow" over time. Baking soda and vinegar is what works for me. Here are some options for you.

If this doesn't help, let us know and we can try something else.
I use 1/3 bottle of hydrogen peroxide when I wash my whites. Bleavh tends to make whites dingy and breaks down fibers over time. Most oxygen detergents are peroxide based.
OxyClean powder added to your wash, or at least a detergent with it added. For ground-in dirt, pre-treat with product of your choice and let sit for a little while before starting washer. If your washer has a soak cycle, soak in warmest water possible with OxyClean.
I love this laundry detergent that we use. It's an all-natural DIY and made with safe ingredients. You can use it on an HE machine too. Hope this helps! Hugs, Holly
