Mix 1 cup of 3-percent hydrogen peroxide with 3 drops of dish soap in a small bowl.
Pour the homemade stain remover directly over the stain. Let it sit for at least 5 minutes.
Rinse the area by pouring a small amount of cold water over it and blot dry.
Oh, I hope you try that mixture on a small, unnoticeable piece of carpet first. Peroxide is bleach and you could end up with a very nasty looking patch.

I have removed some terrible pet stains by just using 1/4 teaspoon of Dawn dish soap in one cup of warm water. The main trick is to not rub and scrub on the stain. That only pushes the pet stain into the carpet fibers. Use a very light touch with the soap solution on a rag then blot with another rag. It may take many light scrubbings before you have all the pet stain out but believe me, this really works!
Hi Phyllis. I'm Cindy. Try mixing a quarter-cup of hydrogen peroxide, a half-cup baking soda and 1 teaspoon of dish soap. Use a cloth to blot the pet stain. Continue until stain is gone.
