  • I always start with Murphy's Oil Soap for wood cabinets, Minnie. If that doesn't cut through it, use vinegar on a cloth and scrub.

Minnie, Start with hot water and a rag, with some dish soap. Next, use Murphy's oil soap, on the cabinets. This is just or wood, follow directions on the bottle. The next time you paint use high gloss , it's easy to clean. Aloha!

Hi Minnie. I'm Cindy. Fill a bucket with warm water. Add a quarter-cup of vinegar and a couple squirts of Dawn dish soap. Dawn is the best product to cut thru grease and grime. Clean your cabinets with this solution. Then go over them again with Murphy's Oil Soap. The soap will clean any dirt left behind. The oil will condition the wood. Use it according to the directions on the bottle. Good luck Minnie and Happy Holidays
