How can I set up stockade fence sections as a movable partition?
I have stockade fence sections 10 feet long by 8 ft high. Instead of setting them as a permanent fence, I would like to use them as a movable partition for privacy. Any ideas?

Set your fence posts in 5 gallon buckets of concrete. You will need help moving them with a dolly, but less likely to blow over in wind or storm. Screw sections together instead of nailing. Will take a bit of time to disassemble, move and reassemble, but can be done.
Square or circular tubing frames?
I would look at the T-bases made for sections of steel framed construction fencing and see if they can be attached to your fence panels.
If you wanted to make a sled base for them out of treated lumber, be sure and use coated screws.
A wood sled base will give you a a place to install very large exterior casters, which are needed for dragging these panels around in the yard without clogging them up.
Hi Dave,
Is there some way you can mount it on wheels? That would let you roll it into place. Your fence segment is probably heavy so you would need a suitabe platform that could handle the weight, along with large enough lockable wheels to maneuver it into position and have it stay put.
You need legs on the bottom wide enough for them to hold up the fence
Hi Dave. If you're using the fence between your property and you neighbor, you could have one section permanently installed, and use barn door rollers to open or close the next one. Attach the hardware to the rails and add a gate wheel to the moving panels. If you're using the section on solid ground, build a triangle frame with casters on each end so you can roll it in place and not have it flop over.
