How do I make cinnamon pinecones?
I actually know how but I can not find cinnamon oil that smells good like the bought ones. Every oil I have tried smells horrible and bitter. Does anyone know a brand of essential oil that actually smells like baking cinnamon?!

Thank you. I can give it a try ...have been trying for years to find one like the store pinecones smell which is SO good ...but only lasts about 5 days once the package is opened.
Hi Ann, I just sprayed a homemade solution I made by simmering cloves and cinnamon sticks on the stove. Then while the pinecones were damp, I sprinkled some more cinnamon on them and let them dry overnight. :)
Ann,. Buy cinnamon sticks, and grate them into a small pot of water, about 1/2 cup. Let it simmer, covered, 10 minutes. Then put the pine cones in a small pot and pour the liquid over it. Let it sit for 1/2 an hour. Repeat with the water over the cones again. Keep doing this until the cinnamon is absorbed in the pines cones. Aloha!
GET some cinnamon sticks & grind them either in a food processor or coffee grinder. Boil your cones for a bit on the stove. Sprinkle the cones with the fresh ground cinnamon. Bake them until they're completely dry. They should smell like what you're looking for. Hope this helps. :)

Thank you I have tried several brands of essential oil, and they all smell horrible - nothing like classic cinnamon - but I'll give this one a sniff!
