You could use a canvas or plastic tarp and put up a simple form to stretch it over out of something like 1X2's that angle up to a small peak and put ties or you can use Velcro or the like to hold it on and you can take it down whenever you want or if a windstorm is heading towards you.

Kathy...I agree with you about using a tin roof. Send us a picture when you get it finished....pallets can be used for soooooooo much!
