How can I replace the broken glass top of a patio table?
Help! The umbrella fell on my patio table and shattered the glass. I can't get a replacement from the manufacturer.
Best solution is to use two part epoxy. Clean the the table crack and piece with alcohol. Apply the epoxy liberally on the broken piece then set in place. Use blue painters tape to hold it in place. Wipe off any squeeze out with nail polish remover. Let it set for about 24 hours.
Gorilla Glue can hold that piece back in place, although you may want to add a small length of wood under the repair with nails for reinforcement. I would add a few marbling lines with white paint and a small paintbrush to blend the two pieces. Best wishes, 😊
