How do I cover old Formica in my bathroom?
I have old 70’s Formica backsplash and counters. Don’t have money for granite right now. Any suggestions?

Hi Carol,
Here is an idea on how to update your counters.
Thanks never thought. Have to see how hard it is. Do you have to be careful after that? I’m hard on mine.
Hi Carol, there are quite a few things you can do, depending on how durable you want the countertops to be. We tiled ours about 15 years ago and they still look beautiful. It's not a quick fix like painting but it does last way longer. You can also pour cement on top. This video will show you how - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9866dmfJxUU
Paint it it works real good
I use a large clear glass cutting board (Bed, Bath, & Beyond) on my painted bath counter tops. This protects them from curling irons, etc. I also keep paper towels beneath my sink. (I have an under counter paper towel holder mounted sideways on the inside of my vanity door.) I lay out a paper towel to place all my makeup supplies on which keeps the counter clean.
