Absolutely! Almost anything can be painted in one way or another. What is the surface of your cabinets now?
Anything can be painted. The key is the preparation. The basics are, lightly sand or (my preference) use liquid sandpaper to make the surface tacky. Use a high quality bonding primer-select a primer made for adhering to your type of surface. Then you can use just about any type of paint once the prep is properly done.
Thanks to all for the info.
