    Yes, clean cabinet with TSP Sand off sheen. Apply your chalk paint, I strongly recommend Rustoleum brand because it is easy and reasonable priced. Also comes in any color you want. Let dry when you get the coverage you want for about 1 1/2 hour. Then take a small wet to damp.wash cloth and wipe off paint where you want it distressed. Let dry over nite. Apply 2 coats flat polyeuretane. The wax and clear coat chalk paint doesn't hold up to the moisture of a bath room, unless it's a half bath. Then use Rustoleum chalk paint top coat.

    Ok if the vanity has a shiny finish then lightly sand the whole thing down then paint it with the chalk paint .tip if you want another color to show through the chalk paint then paint that color first.then when dry paint the Charlie paint second when totally dry take very fine sand paper and lightly sand on the outer sides of the legs edges of top of counter you will see color come through of first paint and keep going to you like what you see
