Note that kitchen trends come and go very quickly, make sure what you pick makes you happy.
You can research national cabinet trends by entering " most popular kitchen cabinet colors and stains" in your search bar.
Gray seems to be a favorite on the decorating shows, but I strongly suspect more natural wood colors will be making a comeback since the entire decorating world seems to have painted all the cabinets white or gray by now. (I also anticipate it won't be long before all the folks on house buying and remodeling shows are asking for houses with walls and re-modelers are replace the walls that have all been ripped out in the name of 'open concept' houses.) I strongly advocate ignoring current trends and doing what pleases you unless you are trying to sell your house right away.
