How would you select the right colors to paint a small room with two colors?

Pick colors from a multi color pattern that is used in the room.
I would go light and match the decor. Neutrals are my preference. Check a color wheel if you want complimenting colors. If not, two shades of the same palette.
Do you mean like what color to paint a feature wall and the walls next to that?
Like the kitchen, there are three walls. I’m not one for being too conservative. Thanks
One light color will make it feel larger than breaking it up with 2. Bring in paint samples and look at them in the day and at night. There will ones you can eliminate right off the bat. Look at the remaining ones in daylight and cloudy days.
