How should I paint wainscoting?
Hi , I am painting the wainscoting in our back entry white. Do you suggest I use pure white or an off white? Also should it be flat or satin? Thanks.

I like Benjamin Moore oil based paint, semi gloss, "linen white". I use it on all woodwork.
eggshell finish, it's between the two mentioned finishes.

Consider your lifestyle. Kids? Pets? Elderly? You want something that is easily washable. Me, personally, I would not use anything less than a semi gloss. Purely a matter of personal preference. Either white or pure white would look fresh and clean. What looks better with the rest of your house or any area adjoining the space?
