I am getting ready to use chalk paint for the first time, what should I be looking for in the paint that I buy? Is one type better than another? Will it make a difference in the finish of my project?

Hello Denise! Here is one person's opinion of a few brands of chalk paint: https://www.minimalishfarmhouse.com/blog/2017/9/28/chalk-paint-reviews
I think the best way to decide which kind of chalk paint YOU like the best is to try as many as you can. We all have our personal preferences. I use a variety of chalk paints and I pick and choose which one depending on the project I am working on. I do feel that which chalk paint I choose to use will make a difference in the final finish of my project. Some chalk paints are more expensive than others, some cover better, some wash well/some don't, some wear better/some don't.
