I have rust in the microwave where the wheels of the rotating floor plate rub. Can I sand it, then use rustolium paint? Or is it not to used inside a microwave.

You can't. It would heat up the paint and it would taint your food. The finish on inside is a baked on finish.

Ask a car part dealer if engine paint would work. It can take the heat. Does your car engine smell after it is hot? Home depot may also have spray paint that can take the heat with out odor. They should also know if it i safe.

I had microwave turntable wheels make a groove in the microwave also. I investigated and found the little wheels were "gummed" up with something and not turning...just dragging around under the turntable. Took the wheel holder and soaked it in soap and warm water until the little wheels rotated easily. That was the solution.... end of making the groove deeper, though mine didn't get rusty.
