Office supply stores have metal inserts for hanging file folders
Stationery stores sell hanging file frames. The metal is easily cut with a hacksaw, so you should be able to size it to your box.
Put lightweight short, round tension rods on two sides and hang the file folders on them. Hope it helps.
I don't know if they would be heavy enough. There are slots in the metal where you can bend and break the side supports, but I don't think they go as small as you need it.
