Clean the Formica with bar keepers friend. Then wipe down with diluted vinegar.
I like OrangeGlo for wood. It cleans and refreshes the wood.
Mop and Glow or car wax will help bring the shine back and give you a nice slick surface.

Hi Katherine. I'm Cindy. You can refresh the top with with a solution of equal parts of vinegar and water. Wax it to restore the shine. Then use Murphy's Oil Soap on the maple parts. The soap will clean it and the oil will condition the wood. Good luck Katherine.
