Hi Brenda. I'm Cindy. Begin by picking 3 days of mild weather. Then purchase the paint. A gallon of paint should be more than enough for a 2-car garage door. Next, prep the door. Wear protective gear and use a wire brush to remove any rust or chipped spots. Then sand with a fine grit sandpaper until smooth. Clean the door with an all-purpose cleaner and sponge. Then rinse it with your garden hose. Let dry for at least an hour. Tape off any handles, locks and windows. Then prime and paint. That's it Brenda. Step back and enjoy all your hard work.
