How do I re-stain laminate backboard?
We are re-staining our wood cabinets in our kitchen however the backboard is laminate, can we sand that down to re-stain that too?

I am assuming you are talking about the inside backboard of the cupboard. Laminate is real thin and you may go through it sanding it enough to get the stain off. Perhaps clean up the backboard and put on contact paper that is a good match to the stain you are using. Another idea would be to paint the backboard a light color or perhaps a color that will go with the décor you are using in the kitchen.
You really can't stain laminate but you can paint it a shade of brown that will tie in with your cabinet.
