How can I paint my laminated cabinets?
I have laminated base cabinets in my bathroom. When I was painting the wall, I got a little bit of pair in 1 of the cabinets & it seems to be "sticking". I am just a little leafy of pairing all of them.

How come my cabinet turned yellow when I painted over the chalk paint?
I repainted my jewelry armoire with white Rustoleum Chalk Paint. When I painted the matte sealer (also from Rustoleum) it left yellow streaks all over it.
Jean...If you do decide to paint you need to sand so paint will adhere well. You may want to buy a paint with primer in it too. Good luck
Prep is the key. I use a liquid sandpaper/de-glosser. Apply this liberally and follow the directions. You just rub it on with a cloth and wait (see directions on package for time). This makes the surface tacky so it will grab the primer. Use a high quality bonding primer that works for slick surfaces like paneling. I prefer two thin coats of primer instead of one thick coat. You get much better coverage. Then use a paint in a satin or eggshell finish that is washable. Don't cheap out on the paint. It will take a lot of abuse in the bath and you don't want your hard work to not hold up. If the paint causes sticking, try rubbing that area with candle wax or ask your hardware store for beeswax for sticking drawers. There are several different brands.
Prep is the key - lightly sand and clean the cabinets - then prime with XIM Bonding Primer and apply two coats - allow this to dry for at least 48 hours - then paint the color of choice, glaze, stencil or use a roller for some design and pattern - then top coat with BenMoore Stays Clear or General Finishes also has some great top coats and paints - https://www.artisticpaintingstudio.com/
