Mix 1 teaspoon mild dish soap with 3 quarts of water. Dip a cloth into the cleaning solution. Rinse the fixture with a clean, wet cloth. Buff the faucet dry with a soft, dry cloth. If the faucet appears stained or grimy after cleaning, deep-clean it with a homemade paste cleanser. Mix 1 teaspoon of salt and 1 cup of white vinegar in a small container. Add enough flour to make a paste, and apply the paste. Allow the paste to dry for one hour. Rinse thoroughly with water. Buff dry with a soft, clean cloth.
