How do I update this built-in unit from 1955?
I would like to convert this into a useful, good looking storage built-in. The top shelves are a deep 30". I'm not fond of the sliding glass doors... Really need your help!!!

Photos didn't load ?
There is no photo but you could remove the sliding glass doors and their tracks. Then paint or paper for an update. See if you can add a picture.
Hopefully the photo will be included this time...
Tondi, you can replace the glass with thin plywood doors or a curtain; or you can leave the shelves open and use baskets to keep the area looking neat.
