How to decorate using side tables or how to decorate a side table itself?

It would depend on the size of the table. I like to keep it simple so a candle, a photo in a pretty frame, a flower arrangement, a book, something along those lines. 1 larger item with 2 small ones.
What you use and how you do it depends on the table, the room, your taste and the surrounding decor! If you want this area to pop, use something with color, height and an unusual shape. If you want it to blend in, something more subtle like a photo, books, decorative candles or a group of collectibles. And don't forget how light hits this area. That can draw the eye or melt away. You can also play with things and see what suits you best.
