How can I refinish a laminate counter top?
Moved to a 20 year old condo. Bathroom counters are an ugly color, sort of dark coral that doesn't go with my things. How can I resurface or recolor with the least money, without paying for a completely new surface? Anyone used the paints that I've seen that are supposedly for laminate? (Home Depot has this.)

Rustoleum has a kit that can be tinted into about 16colors. Home Depot carries the product. I plan to use it for the guest bath. About $20. I will only need one. Check it out! It maybe what you are looking for.

Thanks, folks. Looks like there are many successful projects documented on the hometalk site!
Yes yes yes... you can check search, on this site, but myself and a friend both did our countertops. First we cleaned well with TSP sanded a little, then applied paint, in this case it was left over latex paint a couple of coats. Then we applied two or three coats of poly. This was both in the bathroom and in the kitchen. 👏👏
Yes, you can paint them to look like granite. I’ve researched it and you can get the items separately or buy a kit. It doesn’t look that hard, and it doesn’t seem like it would be very expensive. I saw one that showed you could use Acrylic paints. I was excited, because I have several acrylic paints already on hand. Look it up online.
