How do I paint a cream colored cloth chair?
![Anita](https://cdn-fastly.hometalk.com/resources/imgs-responsive/avatar-letters/avatar-A-FF00A7.png?size=91x91)
I have a off-white chair and ottoman in my bedroom that I want to paint tan and cover up some stains. The fabrics is porous, not duck-cloth or canvas. What kind of paint do I use, and how do I go about painting it?
Thank you for your guidance and suggestions.

I have seen a chair that looks just like this on a web site about painting furniture. Many people just use acrylic paint. Some say chalk paint is good. I'd do more research on line. May I also suggest before you paint, put more batting in your back cushion. Open a seam, stuff in as much as you can to get the wrinkles out, and then hand stitch tightly to close it up. Good luck.
I agree with adding some stuffing to the back of the chair. Fabric medium added to latex paint will produce a good painted project that is not stiff.
