I used Valspar cabinet paint from Lowe’s and had it tinted a dark grey...it will take 3 to 4 coats of paint but they look great. There is a learning curve with the paint, the first coat needs to be painted on thin and let dry 8-12 hrs between coats. Once it is cured the paint has a hard nail polish like feel. They are holding up well and best of all the clean up is soap and water! My Cabinets were the old laminate type not wood.
Prep is key! Make sure you wash everything down really well, take off the doors, scuff sand with 220 grit sandpaper and wipe off all the dust.
