How can I stop my sink from leaking and why vent inside? (stinky)
This just started a few weeks ago. When water runs from my 1/4 sink into the drain, it seems to back up and leak out of the pipe. This never happens with my 3/4 sin... See more
Why does my bathroom tub and sink sound like it's burping when I flush
This is new for us home, but built in 1959. Kitchen sink drains slow but have not heard burps.
poor down soda crystals - as much as you can get down there. Then get the plug in one hand and white vinegar in the other, poor the vinegar over the soda and put the plug in quick. it'll have to fizz down then instead of up taking the gunk with it.
Put some liquid dish cleaner and boiling water down the drain/commode. Flush Then try plunger. There are small plungers for sinks. Be sure to cover the overflow drain before plunging a sink. A drain snake can be used if all else fails.
Take all the water out dump baking soda down it then pour 1 cup of vinegar let sit for 1/2 hour then wash down with very hot water
First, stop over at WalMart or Home Depot and get one of those drain fisher thingies with the hooks all over them. They're plastic, long and pretty cheap (like $3). Remove the drain covers and push the thingie down the drain. When you pull it up (especially from the tub) you won't believe the amount of hair and gunk that gets stuck down there!!!
Then, use the baking soda and vinegar as above. It creates a chemical reaction (you'll hear fizzing and see small wisps of smoke lol!). This dissolves stuff such as soap scum, etc.
However, as you're asking about both sinks and the toilet, you may have a more serious problem such as a clogged sewer pipe or cracked one.
