How do I make an outdoor maze in my field?
Have a field with grass and wild flowers, once the grass takes off it chokes the flowers, but it's very pretty. Want to make a mass for next year so that the flowers have a place to grow between walls of grass. I also have 2 trees (pyramidal poplars) one corner and a willow on the other. Does anybody know how to plot and mark one?

It's just like a floor plan for a house. You measure out the size of your field (roughly if you can't be accurate), then draw a maze floor plan to your liking on a piece of grid paper. Don't forget to mark the placement of your trees and anything else you plan to add to your maze. Then transfer that plan to the field by measuring and marking the path (I'd use those flags you can get at DIY stores in the building supply area. And if you're bad at direction, use a compass). Mow ASAP so you can see what you're doing - and if you make a mistake, it won't show too much. Only measure and mark a section at a time so you don't get confused. Once it's done, keep that path mowed down super low. Enjoy your maze come summer!
