Try spraying with one part dish liquid to 40 parts water. Let sit for ten minutes and then spray off again. Repeat when necessary. It is best to do this in your shower.
I’ve tried that solution before and it burnt my leaves. Buy ladybugs! They take care of the problem quickly 😁
red spider mites can be killed with a good horticultural soap .. first, hit the tree with at very VERY strong stream of water ... knocking off those that you can; then let the tree dry; come back with the Hort soap .. http://www.gardensafe.com/tips/diy-gardening/the-dirt-on-insecticidal-soap.aspx and you may want to treat neighboring plants as well .. or they'll be right back!
