How do I paint fabric on a chair?

Don’t like design on fabric of an old chair. Fabric still in excellent condition. Have seen you can paint fabric.

Yes, you cn paint fabric Grammy. There are several youtube videos as well as projects shown right here on Hometalk. You can purchase a fabric medium if you want to insure softness after painting, but I've actually painted a few seats on benches and just added water to the paint and used three coats, sanding just a bit after the first and second coats. Worked just fine. The woven design will still show through but the change in color can be awesome.
