How do I choose new flooring for my basement?
We have a walk-in basement. The one room is carpeted which is the family room. We have entance way rugs right now in the hallways leading to the stairways. We would like something more permanent to finish the basement rooms and hallways. The problem is we track in dirt from the outside and from the garage. Does anyone have any ideas on type of flooring to put over the concrete? We need something that can easily be cleaned.

I always recommend luxury vinyl planks for basements, kitchens, and bathrooms.
I would install sheet vinyl that looks like real tile/travertine tiles. Easy to install and clean yet looks rich/authentic. Affordable!
Tile is always the best option and the only thing that is truly waterproof.
