Hi Jennie, here is a video showing how you can transfer pictures onto almost anything.

When I transfer pictures on anything, I Mod Podge it with a brush, put the picture on face down, and Mod Podge it again. Then I let it set for a time and rub off the white backing leaving the picture on the object. The picture will be reversed, so if you want it to look the same, scan it into your computer/printer and print it off then apply the reversed one. This is especially important with anything with words. You might try it on wood or vase or something first for practice with a photo and object that it cannot hurt or does not matter before doing a special photo etc. Here is a tutorial on Mod Podge fun, hope this helps Jennie! https://www.hometalk.com/diy/decorate/rooms/mod-podge-fun-28617355
Mod Podge Fun!
Here is how I mod podge. I have several posts on my site using Mod Podge, but this is a very popular post.
Not sure if this will help, but I do not use hairspray or mod lodge. I actually print my images on to printable temporary tattoo paper then transfer the images like you would any temporary tattoo - here's an example and tutorial for you: https://maritzalisa.com/diy-floral-patterned-decorative-bowls/
