There are MANY peel and stick back splashes available now that look 3 dimensional. There are the ones that LOOK like copper, brass, and tin. They are beautiful and look like tiles but are much easier to clean. You can cut them easily to fit the area and they are the least expensive. Since we put ours up they have added many new types that look like glass tiles, wooden tiles etc. Shop at your home improvement store and you should find many. We got ours at Lowes but we see them at Menards, Home depot and many other places now.
I used tin for mine - it was so easy to install and I love how much it brightened my space! There are lots of colors available!! https://rootsandwingsfurniture.com/blog/tinbacksplash/
You could do brick, peel and stick wall paper, paint, stencils! So many fun ideas!
Reverse painted glass, framed and hung where needed. Changeable whenever.
