How can I fill cracks in a hardwood floor?
I am thinking I might like to paint an old floor in a camp building. There are some cracks in the flooring where two two trailers had been joined together. The cracks are about 1/4 inch apart and deep. I think the floor cover is some type of linoleum. Can anyone tell me what one could use to fill in the cracks that would be durable and not later break apart. Under the floor covering ( ?linoleum ) is wood. What type of paint would work best for this project and last?

For the crack in the floor where the trailers join, you can use a floor transition strip like this one: https://www.lowes.com/pd/FLEXCO-2-in-x-78-in-Unfinished-Oak-T-Moulding/1000016915 For painting the floor, take a look at this helpful tutorial: https://realitydaydream.com/painting-linoleum-floors/ I hope that helps and good luck with your project!
Hi Ary, First we need to know if you are planning on keeping the linoleum or taking it up to expose the bare wood? Your wording kind of confused me. This will help us give you a better answer. Thanks

I was planning on keeping the flooring and painting over it>
I'd add a piece of wood 1/4 " thick( like a 1/4" x however deep 2"-3"-4")to plug it just use construction adhesive/liquid nails to get it secure maybe a few finishing nails then use some wood putty where the small seams are to make it smooth sand it down some and paint over it when you paint linoleum do you have the old linoleum any scraps? you could add that over wood patch before you paint it for more seamless look.use the liquid nails to stick it down
