How can I build a carport type roof over my old mobile home?
how can i build a carport type roof over my old mobile home as it is the roof is not peaked and snow is a danger to collapse, the existing roof is concaved . i don't think it would support another roof so it must be unattached to existing roof i was thinking upright beams standing on the foundation and held together at outside wall with flexible screws of some sort then attach carport type roof to upright beams or is it to far out lol

Perfect...not first one to come up with this idea. I live in AZ and many of the mobile home/RV parks here all have carport type secondary roofs over them because the sun & heat is so intense it destroys the roofs in just months if it is not protected lean-to ones w/metal roof are the cheapest to build https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i2Z1dsKhsMg&t=8s
Probably cheaper to build over existing roof with outboard supports. Lots of photos to click and check out.
