How to place peel & stick tile over existing peel & stick tile?

I have existing peel & stick tile in my bathroom. It looks like they are still on tight. The only issue is one tile has

a crack. Can I put new peel & stick over the old tile? We want to do this before we replace the toilet. Any help would be appreciated.

You need to offset the Centers and make sure the edges are in the middles.

Also Marie, watch with the Vinyl Tile, because sometimes these come 12×12 but others can come 11.95×12.05 and if you are doing a Multicolored Pattern or Using all 11.95×12.05 you need to rotate those or you get Gapping Problems in Between where they do not all align.

Make sure the crack in the tiles is smooth and not at all proud! Otherwise it will show through. Maybe use a busy pattern, won't be so obvious.
