I sand and stain my deck every year. Beautiful in the summer but it is so slippery when it gets snow on it.
Check the label on the can (or a can at the store). For every type of stain or paint, there is a way to clean it up listed. Having said that, you may have to scrape and sand to get it all off. If you use a chemical stripper, protect under the deck and the house from the chemical.
You could possible need a solvent from your hardware store. A non slip surface is designed to stay in place to prevent you from falling so I dont think it will just wash off easily. Good luck.
